When I attended a Buteyko course at the end of February 1999 I was taking 2 puffs of Serevent and two puffs of Flixotide (a steriod inhaler) twice daily. My nose was constantly blocked and my chest felt tight. I was always coughing and regularly developed a chest infection. I never felt healthy. I had developed asthma 5 years earlier at the age of 35 and year by year my inhalers were getting stronger and stronger.

After day two of the course, I stopped taking Serevent completely. My nose was really clear and my chest started to feel less tight. After 3 months I stopped taking Flixotide. I can honestly say that I have not had asthma symptoms since the course.
